Chris Shum, Treasurer
Christopher started in the insurance industry 1997. He is currently working for New York life Insurance Company as Sales and Development Manager out of the Chinatown location. Prior to his current position, he worked for MetLife, Producer Group (brokerage), AIG (Taiwan) and Sun Life (Hong Kong).
Christopher was referred by a CAIA board member to the organization, and became a long time member of CAIA. His goal as a member of the board is to help the Chinese community to understand more about different insurance products and use them to improve their financial situations. In addition, Chris wants to be a channel for Chinese agents to communicate and gain information from insurance companies.
