About
Mission
CAIA is dedicated to promoting the interests and concerns of Chinese American insurance professionals.
Through professional exchange and mutual support, the Association hopes to further its membership’s professional standing by gaining the recognition of the industry.
Goals
History
Established in 1989, The Chinese American Insurance Association (CAIA) is the first organization of its kind in the New York metropolitan area founded by insurance industry executives of Chinese heritage.
The association, led by a group of experienced professionals with diverse insurance backgrounds, is comprised of 700 plus members from many well-established insurance agencies, brokerages and individuals domiciled primarily in the State of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
For its members, the association provides information, resources and CE classes to enable them to excel in their own careers. The association’s networking events create a forum for members to exchange market perspectives and to promote mutual understanding among agents, brokers and insurance companies.
The association reaches out to the Chinese American consumer market with bilingual brochures printed in both Chinese and English languages in an effort to familiarize the general public in how to buy insurance to protect their families and businesses, and to assist them in understanding the complexities of insurance coverages.
